Okay this build is getting a new scope from Sightron. Its a SVIII 5-40X56 ED. I'll get new rig photos up once it gets here and its mounted.
Heres the factory photo from the website.
Will have to search it. Last one I bought was an Athlon Argos 10-40X56 SFP 1/8MOA. I love the reticle on it.
MY BUILD IS DONE!!
Here is the 6MM BR-NORMA final rifle with leveled Sightron SVIII 5-40X56 ED.
A Huge thanks to all that advised, criticized, became my friends and did the actual machining. Its been a fun modification to the 20 year old stock Savage 12BVSS 22-250!
Good news I planned completion for August 1st...and its now July 27th!
Of course now you are requested to post targets! And load detail along with shooting conditions.
Congrats on completion!
Some targets yes. Shooting conditions yes. However...
I do not post cartridge data detail!
I am old school and unless I have the firearm in hand even my best friends wont get handed cartridge data. Only exception's are the ones that are "well" known to me, plus the must be safe and responsible firearm enthusiast, I personally know the firearm, and I know they have competence in cartridge development. Few meet all that criteria!
IMHO its just far to dangerous for the stranger and would be reckless on my part.
Fact is, in this day and age, you just never know what the public is doing with anyones cartridge data listed on the Internet Forums. Or the mistakes which will occur when they are trying to incorporate it.
Best practice is always is leave cartridge information to the Bullet and Powder Manufacturers, SAMMI and CIP. Then you safely build from such cartridge data to fit your particular firearm. Always and I mean Always paying attention to pressure.
That must mean you have a super secret "tack driver " load. Nice looking rig by the way!
"As long as there's lead in the air....there's still hope.."
Darn, a smart man has figured out my ways.
That rig looks nice because of you Mr. Moreo. Thank you! ...BTW folks that is no secret, Mr. Fred Moreo is hands down the best Savage Smith in this country perhaps the world. My hopes are I can be a great enough shooter to show off his craftsmanship!
Very good looking rig. Too bad Fred didn't have an old SSS trigger laying around for your build.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

I don't mind posting loads if they are within the bounds of published data. Sometimes I'll post a link to the published data as well.
